    Stephen C. Meyer received his Ph.D. in the philosophy of science from the University of Cambridge. A former geophysicist and college professor, he now directs Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture in Seattle.
    In his first book on intelligent design, Signature in the Cell: DNA and the Evidence for Intelligent Design (HarperOne, 2009) Meyer examined the mystery of the origin of the first life.

    Reasonable Faith aims to provide in the public arena an intelligent, articulate, and uncompromising yet gracious Christian perspective on the most important issues concerning the truth of the Christian faith today.
    Reasonable Faith features the work of philosopher and theologian Dr. William Lane Craig in order to carry out its three-fold mission:

    1) to provide an articulate, intelligent voice for biblical Christianity in the public arena.

    2) to challenge unbelievers with the truth of biblical Christianity.

    3) to train Christians to state and defend Christian truth claims with greater effectiveness.

    Earth floats in space
    Job 26:7, “He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing.”
    Earth is round
    Isaiah 40:22, ”He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth”.
    Something from nothing
    Hebrews 11:3 reads: “By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”

    Job 28:5, “The earth, from which food comes, is transformed below as by fire.”
    Water changes state
    The water cycle, is recognized in the Bible.
    Ecclesiastes 1:7, “All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full. To the place the streams come from, there they return again.”
    Amos 9:6, “He calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the land.”
    Job 36:27-28: “He draws up the drops of water, which distill as rain to the streams; the clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind.”
    There are mountains underwater
    Psalm 104:6, “You covered it with the watery depths as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.”
    The great flood happened
    The Great Flood and Noah’s Ark is one of the most popular stories of the Bible. Geological evidence shows it happened.

    The ark worked, models show that too.
    Genesis 6:13-22, God’s instructions to Noah were as follows: “The ark is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high.”
    The math is right. Calculations made by physics students at the University of Leicester in 2014, the ark would have actually floated and safely carried pairs of each animal species through the flood!

    There are countless stars in the sky
    The Bible shows knowledge that was beyond what we would have known on our own. Visibly we see a ‘lot’ of stars with our bare eye. Nothing that would say there is more than sand on a beach. Not even on a clear nigh.
    Jeremiah 33:22, “I will make the descendants of David my servant and the Levites who minister before me as countless as the stars in the sky and as measureless as the sand on the seashore.”
    Celestial bodies don’t last forever
    We know that starts don’t last ‘forever’. They are always referred to as ‘eternal’. The Bible says it differently.
    Matthew 24:35 reads: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”
    The universe is made of invisible particles
    Hebrews 11:3, “By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”
    The Bible is talking about things are beyond what we can observe. Germs and bacteria were bantered about during the late renaissance period. This was two-thousand years ago.
    Not all stars are created equal
    The Bible mentions the stars’ brightness or magnitude varies. “The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.” (Corinthians 15:41).
